INTRODUCTON

Dear Guest,

This guide is intended to provide you with all of the necessary information to make your visit to McAfee Coliseum and ORACLE Arena as enjoyable as possible.  We are dedicated to making the facilities accessible to patrons with disabilities and hope to make your visit an enjoyable one.We take pride  in complying  with the Americans with Disabilities Act to enhance your enjoyment of the event.  In striving to make your event experience as "user friendly" as possible, we ask that if there are ways in which we can improve our service to our guests with disabilities we encourage you to contact our ADA Coordinator.

SERVICES

  • Raiders Game Day Shuttle Service (For Raiders Games Only)
    Shuttles are multi-passenger vehicles that run continuous routes along the perimeter of the stadium.  This service is available to the elderly, disabled and pregnant guests only.  Shuttle pick-up locations are the BART Plaza and the Plaza between the McAfee Coliseum and ORACLE Arena.  They will also pick up guests anywhere along the perimeter of the stadium and drop off guests at their desired gates.  Simply flag down a Shuttle and they will be happy to pick you up.  For safety reasons, courtesy golf carts are not permitted to drive into the Parking Lots or across the BART Ramp.

  • Amplified Pay Telephones
    All pay telephones in the McAfee Coliseum and Arena are equipped with volume control features.

  • California Relay Service
    For all phone numbers listed in this brochure that do not also have a TDD phone number, please utilize the California Relay Service. This service can relay calls between a person using a TDD and any other phone user.  It also allows a person without a TDD phone to call a TDD user.  Specifically trained people are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to relay the call.

  • Guest Services at Events
    For any questions or concerns during an event, please contact the nearest Guest Services Representative (i.e., Usher, Ticket Taker, or Security Staff)for assistance.  Our guest services staff will assist you with your needs and will help direct you to services throughout the facilities.

  • Assistive Listening Devices
    McAfee Coliseum:
    First Aid-Sections 109 and/or 119
    ORACLE Arena:
    First Aid-Section 106
    Identification will be required, and will be returned to you upon return of the device following the event.

  • McAfee Coliseum and ORACLE Arena Event Schedules
    Game day and event day materials in large print are available, upon request, by contacting the Oakland A's (510) 430-8020 (voice/relay), Oakland Raiders (510) 864-5000 (voice/relay) or Golden State Warriors (510) 986-2200, TDD: (510) 986-2284. Guests needing materials, special accommodations or services should make such a request to theADA Coordinator at least 10 business daysbefore the event. The ADA Coordinator may be unable to accommodate such requests made less than 10 days in advance due to time constraints. For more information about other materials in accessible formats, see "Available Aids and Services.

  • Elevators and Escalators
    McAfee Coliseum Elevators:
    Three (3) on West Side, NEAR Sections 217 & Westside Club
    Four (4) on East Side, NEAR Sections 101 & 142
    ORACLE Arena Elevators:
    One (1) on West Side, NEAR Section 114
    Two (2) on East Side, NEAR Section 101
    ORACLE Arena Escalators:
    One (1) on West Side, NEAR Section 115
    One (1) on East Side, NEAR Section 128

  • First Aid
    McAfee Coliseum:
    Sections 109 and/or/119
    ORACLE Arena:
    Sections 106 and/or 208

  • Restrooms
    Restrooms accessible to guests in wheelchairs are located throughout the McAfee Coliseum and the ORACLE Arena.
    ORACLE Arena:
    Two (2) family Restrooms at Section 106 and Section 204.
    McAfee Coliseum:
    One (1) Family Restroom is located on the East side near Sections 342 and 344.

  • Seating Areas
    Wheelchair accessible seating, semi-ambulatory seating and removable arm rest seating are located in various sections and levels throughout McAfee Coliseum and the ORACLE Arena. At the time of your ticket purchase, please let the Ticket Service Representative know if you require special accommodations.
     

AUXILARY AIDS & SERVICES

Patrons needing a sign-language interpreter, real-time transcription or printed program text should make such a request to the ADA Coordinator at least 10 business days before the event. The ADA Coordinator may be unable to  accommodate such requests made less than 10 days in advance due to time and  coordination restraints.
 
All free written materials describing programs and services, including schedules of upcoming events and ticketing information will be available upon 10 business days notice in an alternative format, including large print, Braille, audio tape or by phone. Requests made without 10 days advance notice will be accommodated to the extent possible. The Guide for Patrons with Disabilities is available in alternative formats upon request.
 
Patrons requiring services other than those described should contact the ADA Coordinator.

  • Guests with Hearing/Visual Impairments:
    Guests with visual or hearing impairments needing assistance may contact our ADA Coordinator at (510) 569-2121, TDD (510) 383-4619.

    If service for a hearing disability or visual impairment is required during an event, please contact the nearest Guest Service Representative. Guests needing materials, special accommodations or services should make such a request to the ADA Coordinator at least 10 business days before the event. The ADA Coordinator may be unable to accommodate such requests made less than 10 days in advance due to time and coordination constraints. 

  • Guests with Service Animals:
    Trained guide dogs, signal dogs, or service animals assisting guests with disabilities are permitted inside the McAfee Coliseum and ORACLE Arena. When purchasing your ticket(s), please let the Ticket Representative know that you have a service animal. 

  • Emergency Evacuation Procedures:
    In the event of an emergency, McAfee Coliseum and the ORACLE Arena Guest Service Representatives have been instructed and trained to assist you in evacuation of the premises.

  • Security and Lost & Found:
    Security personnel are located throughout McAfee Coliseum and the ORACLE Arena.
    Security
    McAfee Coliseum:
    Main Concourse, Sections 126 and/or 149
    ORACLE Arena:
    Event Level, South Tunnel
    The Lost and Found
    Located in the Security Offices during the event.
    After the event ends, Lost and Found items are stored in the security offices for 30 days.  Thereafter, all unclaimed items will be disposed of.

  • Oakland Athletics Special Services:
    The Oakland Athletics offer a special assistance program called the A's Team to assist their fans who have disabilities.  The A's offer shuttle rides from the parking lots and the BART Plaza to the McAfee Coliseum gates.  They also offer wheel chair escorts from the McAfee Coliseum gates to the seating areas.  For more information on the A's Team Assistance Program, please call (510)638-4900 ext. 2820.

  • TRANSPORTATION
    BART
    The Bay Area Rapid Transit Coliseum Station is located on the East side of the McAfee Coliseum and is accessible by a walk-over, which connects the McAfee Coliseum to the BART station.  BART services the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa and San Francisco.  For more info, please call: (510) 465-2278.
    AC Transit (Bus)
    AC Transit services Alameda County.  Patrons should take AC Transit to the Coliseum BART station and utilize the walk-over which connects the BART station to the McAfee Coliseum. The walk-over and BART station are located on the East side of the McAfee Coliseum. For more info, please call: (510) 839-2882.
    Accessible Parking
    Parking for patrons with disabilities is located in the first two (2) rows of the parking lot closest to McAfee Coliseum and ORACLE Arena.  Spaces to accommodate vans are also available. To gain access to this accessible parking, proper vehicle registration is required as well as a current disabled placard with a matching identification card.
    Auto Drop Off & Pick Up Areas
    During events, our disabled drop-off and pick-up area is located on the North and South ramps leading up to the Plaza. The Plaza is the area between McAfee Coliseum and ORACLE Arena where the ORACLE Arena's Box Office is located.  Disabled guests may also be dropped off or picked up in front of Gates C & D at McAfee Coliseum.
    Traffic Updates
    For up-to-date traffic information on event days, tune to radio station 530 AM.  The station transmits within a two-mile radius of McAfee Coliseum and ORACLE Arena.

Complaints regarding the provision of services to patrons with disabilities should be directed to our ADA Coordinator at (510) 569-2121, TDD(510)383-4619.

The ADA Coordinator will make all reasonable efforts to resolve complaints  informally. If a guest wishes that a complaint be investigated, please submit  the complaint in writing. If the ADA Coordinator did not resolve your complaint  regarding accessibility at McAfee Coliseum or ORACLE Arena, the patron should request a Claim Form from the ADA Coordinator which will allow the patron to submit his/her claim to binding arbitration.
